An International Effort To Raise Funds For Needy Families
What is the Homes from the Heart program?
Homes from the Heart Program is an international effort created to involve our agents and brokers in raising funds. These funds will be used to support community-based organizations that provide housing opportunities to needy families.
Many individuals in our communities are less fortunate than ourselves. Many are living in crowded, substandard housing. It is important that we give something back to the communities in which we do business. What better way for Realty Executives agents to give to their communities then by assisting families who might otherwise never be able to own a home of their own?
Why Habitat for Humanity?
The Homes from the Heart program is designed to be flexible. Since we are an international company, we feel strongly that Habitat for Humanity has already established itself as a reputable, international entity. However, in some communities it may make more sense for us to support other organizations.
In addition to funding the construction of Habitat homes, we will be organizing volunteers to help with the construction of these homes. Thousands of hours of volunteer time go into building each Habitat home, and we want to be a visible part of this.
